The WWF/WWE SmackDown! game franchise, which debuted in 2000, is far and away my favorite wrestling game series of all time. My entire childhood, hell, my formative teenage years, are painted with a brush tinted in SmackDown! blue. Some say 2002’s ‘Shut Your Mouth’ is the best of all time, others argue for 2003’s ‘Here Comes The Pain.’ The war has raged for more than a decade at this point, much like the war between the flagship brands themselves. ‘WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006,’ though, is without a shadow of a doubt, the dark horse of the franchise. With new additions like GM Mode, the Buried Alive Match, Fulfill Your Fantasy and more, I think we’ve turned this video game one on one into a triple threat match. Let’s get to it!
